Ex-governor Nnamani loses Enugu Senate seat to LP’s Chukwu


A former Governor of Enugu State and member representing Enugu East Senatorial District, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has lost his return bid to the Senate.

Nnamani lost to the Labour Party(LP) candidate, Sir Kelvin Chukwu.

Chukwu is a younger brother to the slain candidate of the party, Oyibo Chukwu, who was murdered three days to the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.

The LP candidate polled 69, 136 to beat Chimaroke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 48, 701 votes.
