Enugu to deliver 1250 km roads by May 2024

Enugu State government has said that it would deliver about 1250 kilometers of road by May, 2024.

The new commissioner for Works and Infrastructure in the state, Engr. Gerald Otiji disclosed this in Enugu when he held his first management meeting.

He emphasized Governor Peter Mbah’s intentions to deliver about 1250km of roads by May, 2024.

The commissioner also informed his team on the need to ensure service standards are maintained while zero tolerance for shoddy and low quality output would never be entertained in his era.

Engr Otiji is a seasoned engineer and business management Consultant with over twenty-eight years of experience both locally and internationally.

Engr Otiji reiterated his plans to make sure that the administration’s key indices were met in respect to the lofty ideas of Governor Mbah on road construction and maintenance, power development, infrastructure among others. 

Commissioner Gerald Otiji solicited for the understanding of his management team to keep the ministry top in their mind as there would be a paradigm shift so that positive and impacting achievements would be recorded.

He assured them of the governor’s support towards giving the state a major facelift.

The acting permanent secretary, Bar Princess Nnaji on behalf of the management welcomed the commissioner and assured him of their preparedness to work as a team to achieve the goals as mandated by Governor Mbah.
