The King of Nimbo Ancient Kingdom, The Paramount Traditional Ruler, HRH John Ikemefuna Akor, AgabaIdu 24th on the 15th August 2023 coronated and installed His Highness Charles Solomon Okweli Ako Esq, FIMC, CMC, MITD – The Aanu Eze Nimbo.
The Aanu Eze Nimbo, His Highness Charles Solomon Okweli Ako, on the 17th August leads other Heads of villages and traditional rulers in Nimbo Ancient Kingdom on the traditional rites of IBUZO signalling the commencement of New Yam Festival in Nimbo.
This traditional rites was immediately followed by ‘Iwa Ji’ by the Paramount Traditional Ruler, HRH John Ikemefuna Akor in the King’s Palace.
Many dignitaries graced the Iwa Ji ceremony amongst them are, HRH Igwe (Dr) Herbert Nwanosike Ukuta JP and HRH Igwe Jude Okeke Ezugwu, Attah the 2nd of Nkpunato Nkpologu (nwatakwochaka).
In the words of Aanu Eze Nimbo, “Nimbo Ancient kingdom has a rich robust culture which the Eze Nimbo HRH John Ikemefuna Akor is poised to harness its potentialities to attract tourists from far and near, with the capabilities of enhancing the unity, peace, development and progress of our people and community”. Aanu Eze Nimbo reiterated that “Our Culture is our heritage, values and pride as a people”.
The New Yam Festival which is popularly known as IBUZO in Nimbo will have its grand finale on the Wednesday 23rd August with enough celebration to host friends and well wishers from all over the globe.
