No fewer than 200 officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State Command recently promoted were have been decorated with their new ranks by Mr Edwin Osuala, the State commandant in Awka.
Among the lucky officers is Mr Edwin Okadigbo, Public Relations Officer of the Corps who was promoted from Deputy Superintendent to Superintendent.
The colourful event which held at the state command’s headquarters Awka on Thursday was conducted by Mr Edwin Osuala, the State commandant of the Corps.
Osuala said the promoted officers were for the 2023 promotion list recently released by the Civil Defence, Correctional Service, Fire Service and Immigration Services Board ( CDCFIB).
He charged them to continue to be shining examples of the Corps in the discharge of their duties.
Osuala said the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Abubakar Audi was happy over the promotion of reasonable number in 2023.
Osuala described the promotion as well deserved and a reward for dedication and commitment to duties.
“This promotion is a challenge to continue with your good work and even perform much better.
” Please do not betray the trust and confidence reposed inn you by the management”, Osuala said.
Mr Ukaobi Prominence who spoke on behalf of the new promoted thanked God for their elevation.
He appreciated family members and well- wishers who honoured them with their presence, stating the avowed commitment of the promotees to justify the responsibilities conferred on them by their new ranks optimally.
The decoration was witnessed by the management team of the Corps in the state, promotees spouses, friends and well-wishers among others.
He encouraged the newly promoted officers to rededicate themselves to the service of fatherland and live up to expectations from the public.
