A renowned Imo based journalist, Mr. Bright Okereke, has been appointed Media Assistant to the Vice Chancellor, Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University Ideato, in Imo State.
The University’s VC, Professor Ikechukwu S. N. Dozie, volunteered the information to a special team of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Imo State Council, led by its Chairman, Comrade Ifeanyi Nwanguma, during a courtesy visit and facility tour of the Varsity.
KOMU, owned by Imo State Government as its second University that is fast leading new grounds of world-class academic excellence of “Convoking with Degree Certificate”.
Mr. Bright C. Okereke, is an experienced media professional with high proficiency in both print and electronic media practice. He has worked with various Newspapers and Magazines as Editor and currently the Managing Editor of News Echo Newspaper and News Insider Magazine.
The appointment letter signed by the Ag University Registrar, Dr. Pamela N. Ogamba, reads in brief; “Please be informed that the Vice Chancellor (KOMU) has approved that you be appointed/ reappointed as Media Assistant to the Vice Chancellor”.
Okereke has therefore vowed to ensure, K. O. Mbadiwe University is projected to an admirable and enviable public interest.
