* Set to emerge leading destination in gaming tourism
Enugu State government has said that it is poised to establish the state as the leading destination for gaming and gambling tourism in Nigeria.
This is just as the state has concluded arrangements to host the highly anticipated Enugu State Gaming Conference, which is expected to take place on June 27th, 2024 at the Amadeo Event Centre.
According to a statement issued by the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission (ESGC), Prince Arinze Arum, the inaugural conference would bring together industry stakeholders to explore new opportunities and collaborations within the gaming sector.
“This conference marks a pivotal moment for the gaming industry in Enugu State.
“It’s an opportunity for us to showcase how far we’ve come in regulating and managing the gaming landscape in our state”, Arum said.
He added that the theme of the groundbreaking event is ‘Exploring the Future of Gaming: Innovations and Collaborations’, noting that it was reflecting a commitment to fostering growth and development within the industry.
Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Executive Governor of Enugu State, will be in attendance to show support for initiatives aimed at positioning Enugu as a hub for gambling tourism.
He said: “We believe that through strategic partnerships between casino operators and hospitality providers, we can unlock new avenues for growth and prosperity within our state,” stated Arum. “This conference is about more than just discussing ideas – it’s about taking concrete steps towards making Enugu a premier destination for gaming enthusiasts.”
He further stated that the event will provide attendees with valuable insights into regulatory practices, market trends, and potential investment opportunities within the gaming sector.
“Participants will also have the unique opportunity to engage directly with Governor Mbah on his vision for promoting sustainable growth within the industry”, he said.
