Anglican Bishop withdraws ordination license of Anambra priest

The Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Chukwuka Ndubuisi Obi, has withdrawn the Ordination License of one of her priests, Rev. Agoziem Isreal Okafor.

It was gathered that Rev. Okafor, who is one of the fiery preachers of the diocese, resigned as a priest of the Anglican Church due to irreconcilable differences with the bishop.

The priest who was in charge of Church of Pentecost, Obiuno Otolo Nnewi, was said to have been transferred by the bishop to Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Convent Orafite to become the chaplain of the institution.

It was further gathered however that the priest submitted his letter of resignation shortly after he arrived at the new station.

Meanwhile, the Bishop Obi has announced that the priest has been dismissed as a priest of the Anglican Church.

The prelate warned members of the church who might want to do business with the priest to be aware that Agoziem Okafor is no longer a priest that is accountable to the Diocese and the Anglican Church.

It is not yet clear why the priest resigned or what prompted his sudden transfer to Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Convent Orafite.

But, information filtering in indicates that Agoziem Okafor has opened a Ministry, The Grace Family Ministry, and has rented a space at Umuezemeko Event Centre Ezekwuabor, Otolo Nnewi.
