Dike takes over Imo PDP as Chairman

Urges party members to remain loyal

Engr Chidi Dike has taken over as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo state amidst wide jubilation.

Inaugurating the new Chairman at the PDP State Secretariat, along Okigwe road, Owerri, the Imo state capital, Southeast Organizing Secretary, Hon Mike Ahumibe said that the energence of the new chairman followed a court order that removed the former state Chairman, Engr Charles Ugwu.

Hon Ahumibe, while describing the event as timely and meritorious expressed optimism on the ability of the new Chairman to perform, and urged PDP members in the state to rally support for him.

According to him, Chidi Dike’s inauguration represents justice, fairness and equity not only for PDP members in Okigwe and Owerri zones, but Orlu zone and the entire members of the party in the state.

In his remarks, the new party Chairman commended leaders of the party for working towards recovering and reviving the party from the stranglehold of selfish leaders who almost destroyed the party in the state.

He vowed to carry everyone along by ensuring that each person’s interest was respected, and appealed to party members to remain loyal to party constitution and programmes.
