Some members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) in the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) have lauded the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Nwokeji for performing beyond the expectations of the members in the past three years since he assumed office as the chairman of the FUTO branch of SSANU.
Some of the members who bared their minds in the performance of Comrade Uchenna Nwokeji and his executive members, said, they knew the capability of the chairman to deliver, but never expected that he would perform exceptionally well despite their turbulent experience and the current economic situation in the country.
One of the members, Comrade Charles Ike Amoke, in a statement, expressed gratitude to God, for his divine grace, blessings and protections upon the executive members of SSANU FUTO branch.
While describing the SSANU chairman as a fearless, dedicated and most resilient servant of the union, Amoke stressed that the union members on daily basis see the need to keep supporting and appreciating the good works of executive led by Nwokeji.
“Their emergence into office exactly three years ago today, was an experience of turbulence and storm, but I thank God, who has kept them together, united and abundantly focused to deliver their mandate to the people.
“More grace to our SSANU Chairman! Comrade Uche Nwokeji, whom I see as a fearless, dedicated and most resilient servant of our great union. I thank God, that everyday, we see reasons to thumb up for him and his team”, he said.
Speaking on the achievements of the Nwokeji-led executive in the past three years, Comrade Amoke said, “I may not be able to go into details, but their score card is good and offers a good enabling hope and foundation for better days ahead”.
According to him, under the Nwokeji leadership, SSANU permanent building at old SEET Roundabout is already being roofed, while “early this year, my bank account smiled with multiple payments. This weekend, my heart is made warm, that more handsome alert is on the way.
“We must thank God and be happy. It is His doing through the people he chose.
It shall be well with Comrade Uche Nwokeji and his astute team. We pray that as they work for SSANU, the Almighty will work in their homes, families and bless their efforts in life.
“As they mark three years in office this Sunday, may God in Heaven keep their lives, their families, their work in FUTO and bless their going out and coming in
“We give perfection only to God, for no one is perfect. May God continue to perfect him and his team. May He continue to guide them, direct them and pour abundant grace of wisdom, love and protections upon them”.
